We're excited to announce our washrooms are to undergo a revamp following a successful capital funding application.
Earlier this year we received the wonderful news that Arts Council England has awarded us £165,000 in order to fund vital improvements to our building - one of which is the refurbishment of our washrooms.
This refurbishment is being done in two phases; the first is the ground floor washrooms and we anticipate that these will be out of action from Monday 15 August until Wednesday 14 September. The second phase will be the middle and top floor washrooms and those will be out of action from Thu 15 September.
For performances taking place in the auditorium during the refurbishments, there will be longer intervals to allow for the reduction in available toilets and during the second phase there will be a slightly reduced film programme. Whilst we will try and ensure disruption is kept to a minimum it is possible that there will be periods where the washrooms will be under significant pressure (particularly during busy show days) and we appreciate your patience when this happens.
In addition to helping us ensure that the quality of the experience for our growing audiences continues to improve, one of other the exciting things about things about this revamp is that many of the updates will ensure that we continue to be more energy efficient - such as installing flush sensors, LED lighting and water saving tap. And as well as updating the aesthetics, the Access toilet and baby changing facilities will also be improved.
As part of our funding agreement we have a fundraising target of £4,000 to support these costs.
