Otto (Tom Hanks) is a grumpy isolated widower who has given up on life, until he starts to form unlikely, reluctant friendships with his neighbours.
Otto has strict routines, a short fuse and gives everyone in his neighborhood a hard time as he watches over it like a hawk. Just as it seems like he’s finally given up on life, until some new neighbours move in.
Little by little, Otto undergoes a subtle transformation…but is he really capable of change?
