Full Price £21

Appealing to all ages, beautiful and talented sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar is one of the leading figures in Indian classical and progressive world music.

Anoushka’s music is deeply rooted in Indian classical tradition; she studied exclusively from the age of 9 under her father and guru Ravi Shankar, and since her 20s her musicianship has explored the crossover between Indian music and a variety of genres, including flamenco, jazz, electronica and Western classical music.

She has been nominated for a Grammy award three times, including being the first Indian female and youngest-ever nominee in the World Music category, and in 2012 won Songlines magazine Best Artist Award.
