Transforming Newbury town centre into a twinkling wonderland, the procession will travel along Northbrook Street before arriving in the Market Place with live music and festive atmosphere.
In the run up to the event we will be offering lantern making workshops with schools, community groups and the general public.
This year, in order to monitor capacity and to get in touch with participants directly regarding any changes to Government Covid Guidelines, we are asking every lantern bearer to book their place in the procession.
Lantern bearer tickets are currently only available to customers who have attended our lantern workshops. If you are taking part in one of our lantern workshops at 101 Creation Space or through your primary school, you will be given a priority code to book your space to take part in the procession. You will receive this code once you have attended a workshop.

For anybody else who would like to attend as a lantern bearer, once those who have attended our public workshops have booked their place in the procession, we will be releasing any remaining lantern bearer tickets to the public.
Or if you would like to attend as a spectator, you can book your spectator tickets here.
Part of the Corn Exchange’s annual programme of outdoor arts, the Festival of Light is presented by the Corn Exchange and 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space and funded by Greenham Trust and Arts Council England.
