March 2020. Kit is a resourceful working mother of two who thrives in a fast-paced world, but when lockdown hits, her world shrinks.
With the walls closing in, two wheels become her sanctuary, and her escape.
A new play drawing on true stories and using RedCape Theatre's trademark blend of comedy and visual, physical theatre, On Track follows Kit's journey of discovery through the history of women's cycling. Exploring the effects of isolation on mental health and showing how a simple bicycle can become a vehicle to freedom once again, On Track will inspire you to pump up your tyres and ride out on a new adventure too.
“Bloody marvellous...loved the concept and delivery of the show. Witty with current themes and topics and even some history thrown in!”
“A total mental and physical escape inside of an hour. Stunning.”
“From the moment I entered the auditorium, I was transported. The clever staging and lighting, use of props and music placed me in Kit's world...Given the opportunity, I would gladly see this again”
“You'd wish more theatre could give you this feeling.”

As a publicly funded organisation, we need to ensure everyone, including those who are disabled or clinically extremely vulnerable, can attend if they wish. If you would like to come to one of our performances but would not be able to attend unless a space was left either side, please contact our Box Office team to discuss your booking.
