The Armourer's Dilemma: Armour and Firearms in the British Civil Wars.
By the Civil Wars of the mid-17th century gunpowder weaponry had come to radically affect the nature of warfare. This talk ties in with the re-enactment of the First Battle of Newbury, Newbury I, on the weekend of 23rd and 24th June – please see the listing about this event.
