Call out for Young Volunteer Stewards
We are looking for 8, friendly, theatre-loving volunteers aged 18 to 30 to steward the breath-taking performance SHIFT presented by Barely Methodical Troupe.
Alongside our Learning and Participation team, we need your help to welcome audiences, direct patrons to their seats, and to be on hand to sell snacks, merchandise and programmes. With the view that you will become one of our many wonderful volunteer stewards, this opportunity will be sociable and rewarding, and of course, you will be able to watch the show you are helping out with.
You don’t need experience of working as a steward, as training will be given, however some experience of working with the public is desirable.
If you have the following qualities then we want you!
- A passion for theatre, film and the arts
- Reliable, punctual and diligent
- Well presented, friendly and polite
- A team player
- Confident in working in a customer-facing environment
- Confident in handling money and merchandise
You must be available on Thursday 7 February 2019 from 6.15pm
About the show:
A breath-taking performance from the award-winning circus company.
A follow up to the international smash hits BROMANCE and KIN, SHIFT is an explosive display of power-based acrobatics. Marooned in an unstable environment, the acrobats use all available resources – string games, storytelling, rubber bands… pushing physical performance to its limits to pull through.
Core BMT members big man Louis Gift and international cyr wheeling star Charlie Wheeller are joined by Spain’s leading break dancer Elihu Vazquez and top Swedish acrobat and flyer Esmeralda Nikolajeff.
