Exploring Theatre: A Practical Workshop with Angela Clerkin (55+)

Friday 10th Nov 2017, Learning Centre

Full Price £5 (Booking for this workshop entitles you to a £10 ticket to The Secret Keeper )

Join Angela Clerkin, creator of The Secret Keeper, for a practical theatre workshop exploring the themes of her new show.

Starting with Tai Chi, tongue twisters and fun warm up games, Angela will focus on ensemble work and creating stage pictures in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The workshop will use improvisation games and exercises to explore the themes of The Secret Keeper : secrecy and community responsibility. You will create a scene set in a town hall meeting about an imaginary event within the community that involves these themes -with everyone taking on a role within the story and at the end of the session you'll perform the piece.

Angela Clerkin is a writer & actor who has performed extensively around the UK, as well as in New York and Sydney. Her TV credits include EastEnders, Holby, The Office and she most recently appeared in Doctor Who and Humans.

This workshop is brought to you through our Ageing Creatively Programme.
