Introduction to Silver Jewellery: Ring Making
27th Jan 2024
Join jeweller Sandra McArdle for an introduction to silversmithing and explore the possibilities of silver.
This 3.5hr workshop will give you an introduction to silversmithing and the opportunity to design and make your own pendant or earrings. In a small group of no more than 5 others, you will design the piece/s you wish to make and learn the basics of silversmithing.
You will learn how to pierce (cut) silver, anneal, texture, and form silver to craft your piece/s. You will learn to clean and polish your final piece/s to create something that is a joy to wear.
If you make a pendant, a chain can be purchased on the day, if required.
Duration: 10am - 1.30pm
