Life drawing is the traditional discipline of working from the (usually) naked body.
This course will give a balance of observational skills and creative experiments, with the time to discover your own directions. Teaching as a group and encouraging individualism enjoy this immensely rewarding experience. There will be a selection of different models to work from through the course, focusing on different aspects of observation each week. Everyone will be made to feel welcome and comfortable.
Duration: 6pm - 8pm
All tickets must be booked in advance.
Age Guidance: 18+
Course dates:
12 Jan - 9 Feb (first 5 week course)
23 Feb - 22 Mar (second 5 week course)
Materials: A small selection of basic materials and paper will be available to use, with easels and boards, though students will be encouraged to bring their own to enable diversity.
Guide to essential materials to bring
Paper A3 or above, pencils 4B, masking tape, a rubber, hard and/or putty, Willow Charcoal. White conte crayon, any coloured materials eg pastels crayons.
There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses close 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
