Memory Café

Monday 11th Dec 2017 — Monday 19th Mar 2018, Corn Exchange

A series of monthly Memory Cafés for people living with dementia and their carers.

These friendly, drop-in sessions are designed to provide support for people living with Dementia, their carers and family members. They are a place to find support, share concerns, celebrate and take part in arts activities in a comfortable environment. All activities are led by a professional artist and are programmed with the help of the Alzheimer's Society, with the aim to stimulate the brain and encourage conversation.

Sessions will also feature homemade cake, tea and coffee, all set in our friendly Balcony Bar space, each session will last 2 hours and there is no need to pre-book, but if you could let a member of our Front of House team know if you are attending, it will be appreciated.

  • “'Pam really enjoyed singing and playing the spoons. Happy faces!'”
    - January 2016 Participant
  • “'Fabulous entertainment; our residents really enjoyed the session, but they always do' ”
    - Activities Co-Ordinator, Winchcombe Place Care Home
  • “'It's about spending time being social, and being friendly for a really good reason. I just wouldn't want to be sitting at home on my own when I could be at the Corn Exchange with all these lovely people!'”
