NYT aims to provide local young people aged 14 – 21 with the opportunity to develop their theatrical skills and explore the arts in general.
Newbury Youth Theatre is a resident youth theatre of the Corn Exchange and have been inspiring young people for nearly 30 years, in which time they have produced over 60 performances, involving more than 2,000 participants. They regularly perform at the Corn Exchange and each year they tour a production to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where they have gained a reputation as one of the best young companies in the UK.
They have consistently enjoyed critical acclaim, receiving rave reviews in local and national press and are now widely regarded as one of the UK's leading young companies.
Newbury Youth Theatre meet at the new Learning Centre of Wednesday from 19:30 to 21:30 during term-time. Members will have the opportunity to perform at the Corn Exchange in July and at the Edinburgh Fringe in August.
