A workshop to explore story conventions through the creative arts.
The Corn Exchange has a well-established reputation in West Berkshire for delivering high quality arts provision and for using the arts as a tool for children and young people’s artistic and cultural development.
This workshop has been created because we are passionate about bringing stories to life through the creative arts and encouraging the next generation of readers and storytellers. This workshop aims to increase children’s interest and engagement with story conventions as well as developing their imaginative superpowers.
In this 1 hour workshop, which is suitable for Reception/KS1 classes, the children will explore story settings, characters and plot as well as the language of traditional storytelling through creative, interactive activities. Class teachers are welcome to choose the feature story!
All our sessions are facilitated by experienced professional theatre and education practitioners.
