Our Ageing Creatively programme, designed specifically for people aged 55+, is back for the autumn and we are excited to welcome some of our long-standing classes into their new home, the Learning Centre. Whether you’d like to get involved in dancing, singing, photography, or just have a cup of tea in a sociable group, we're sure we have something for you to enjoy.
If you’re more of a mover than a maker, explore your creative side with our Dare to Dance community dance courses, where you can learn some new moves whilst improving your fitness; there’s a class for both Beginners and Improvers, and everyone can go at their own pace.
If you fancy a sing-song with a fun and friendly group, why not try Choir 55? Everyone is welcome. Or, if a cup of coffee and a chat is more your thing, come along to our weekly Coffee Companions sessions, which are held at the Corn Exchange every Tuesday from 2pm - 4pm.
Our Monday morning Memory Café's take place once a month, and are designed to provide support for people living with Dementia and their carers, while taking part in stimulating artist led activities. We also hold sociable discussion groups for people with visual impairments, that involve guided sessions with works of art using audio and tactile resources, in our monthly Touch to See sessions.
Not a mover nor a maker, but perhaps a photograph-taker? Then our new photography project, Take a Shot is just for you. No expensive equipment necessary, over 6 weeks, you’ll be snapping up the beautiful sites of Newbury under the guidance of professional photographer, Simon Jardine.
