Last November after many successful years, we said goodbye to Jongleurs Comedy Club as the company ceased trading. We were really sad to see a fun-filled era working with Jongleurs come to an end, but are delighted to reveal what we have in store to ensure you still get your guaranteed giggle once a month.
We are thrilled to announce that going forward we will be collaborating with Avalon Promotions to present some of the best new names in comedy. With comedians such as Joe Wilkinson, Greg Davies, Lee Nelson, Jenny Eclair, Al Murray and Russell Howard on their books, Avalon are experts in finding the next big names on the circuit - you never know, you might see them in Newbury first.
We kick off on Friday 2 February with Phil Wang, who last year appeared on the likes of Live at the Apollo (BBC2) and Have I Got News For You (BBC1), he is joined by Pierre Novellie who was dubbed ‘A genuinely hilarious comedian’ by Three Weeks. The line up also includes the cheeky yet charming James Loveridge and Tania Edwards, who recently supported Katherine Ryan on her sell out tour.
