Calling all crochet connoisseurs and knitting newbies!

Join us for a knit and a natter in the Learning Centre.

Artist Bex Willis will lead on our new knit for need sessions, making items for members of the community who need them.

From January, the group will be working on Twiddle Blankets, based on the Twiddle Muff concept, these twiddle blankets will keep fidgety hands busy while providing a vital layer of extra warmth that people living with Dementia can keep for winters to come.

Participants at Knit for Need will create knitted or crocheted patchwork squares and pockets and will attach all manner of accessories such as tassels, pompoms and handkerchiefs as designed by our artist.

So come along to our ‘no experience necessary’ group on 16 Jan, 30 Jan, 27 Feb, 13 Mar, 27 Mar at the Learning Centre for tea and biscuits, a friendly chat and to create pieces that’ll do good in your community.

This is brought to you as a part of our Ageing Creatively programme. Ageing Creatively is an innovative creative programme for people aged 55 and over in West Berkshire.
