As a part of our role in this, and our focus on increasing dementia friendliness locally through our Ageing Creatively Programme, we're hosting two events during the week, the full programme is below:
Monday 21st May
Pangbourne Village Hall: 2pm – 4pm - Drop in for coffee and cake. Lots of Information about dementia and support services in our area
Corn Exchange Newbury: 10.30am – 12 noon - Memory Café . A joyous improvised storytelling session with Pat Winslow
Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham: 10.30am – 12.30pm - Nature Memories Café with crafts and delicious homemade cake
Winchcombe Place Care Home, Newbury: 11.30am – 12.30pm & 3.30pm – 4.30pm - Become a Dementia Friend at our free information sessions
Tuesday 22nd May
Winchcombe Place Care Home, Newbury: 11am – 12.30pm -Come along and see our new Tovertafel “Magic Table” in action
Thursday 24th May
Corn Exchange, Newbury:
10.30-12 noon - Drop in for coffee and a chat - information about dementia and local support services
11.00 – 12 noon, Become a Dementia Friend at our free information session
Friday 25th May
Market on the Broadway, Thatcham: Lots of information about dementia and support services in our area
St Mary’s Church, Thatcham: 2-4pm - Become a Dementia Friend at our free information session
Old Bluecoat School, Thatcham: 2pm – 4pm - Memory Café with tea, coffee and cake
Winchcombe Place Care Home, Coffee Shop: 10.30am – 12.30pm - Memory Café with tea, coffee & cake
