We’d like to let you know that we recently received funding that is enabling us to replace the lift in our front of house area with a more suitable, new model. While this is excellent news for us, and will benefit our audiences in the long run, it does mean that there will be a short period of time where the upstairs areas of our building will only be accessible via the stairs.
We anticipate that the works will occur from Monday 10 July to Friday 15 September; these works will not prevent the running of any live shows, however we do ask that you ensure that you are comfortable climbing the stairs if you would like to sit in the balcony, or to attend any of our cinema screenings during this time.
During the works, both our staff and the contractors working on the lift replacement have committed to ensuring that the daily running of our front of house area is as unaffected as possible. The Box Office and Kitchen and Bar will remain open and running to our normal high standards, and only a small area of the downstairs foyer seating will be cordoned off.
The most noticeable difference in our service during this time will be our slightly reduced film programme. For health and safety reasons, our dedicated Parents and Babies screenings will be put on hold until the new lift is up and running. We apologise for this inconvenience; wherever possible, all other screenings will run as scheduled.
