Newbury Sounds Line-up:

A Dirty Soul

Hailing from Newbury, A Dirty Soul was initially formed as a solo project by local musician and curator of the Newbury Sounds showcase, Ben Richardson. After meeting at local open mic nights, Ben added Jon Miles (drums), Rob Gould (guitars) and Ronan Hatfull (bass, guitar and backing vocals) to complete the line-up. A permeating love of blues, rock and indie forms the foundation of the group. Their passion for hosting Newbury Sounds and supporting other local musicians is there for all to see; they're back for Newbury Sounds and for the first time, they are headlining. Debut EP The Bloodline EP is out now on all platforms.

Number of the Beef

Hailing from deepest, darkest West Berkshire, Number Of The Beef pride themselves on being a cover band like no other. Playing classic rock, heavy metal and grunge from many different eras, they make a point to play the tunes that most other bands don’t. They also make strides to support and nurture the Newbury music scene by running their monthly full band jam night BeefJam, at The Lion. They have played at Download Festival 2024 and will be one of the many acts taking to the stage at this year’s Newbury Real Ale Festival. Newbury Sounds is about supporting and showcasing all varieties of music, and Number of the Beef have shown nothing but support for A Dirty Soul and Newbury Sounds, it's time we give them the auditorium's stage!

The Liaisons

A favourite of A Dirty Soul. The Liaisons. Raw, gritty, indie, and still living in 2006. An exciting five-piece who are going to make people sit up and listen. Their unique sound is drawn from their many musical influences, from Morrissey to The Libertines. The live energy from these boys is pure and unbridled. Expect a show.

Lizzie Rose Cullen

A local singer/songwriter who writes for piano and guitar and has also featured as artist of the week on BBC Introducing.

Solar Season

Solar Season is currently based out of Bristol. Lead singer Matilda hails from West Berkshire - and joined by Ru, Archie, and Jack, they create a unique folk-rock based sound, influenced by artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, and Greta Van Fleet.

Performance Time: Doors 6.30pm

Duration: TBC
