The class combines Pilates fundamentals with dance-inspired stretching exercises to support and enhance movement. The sling assists in deepening stretches, improving flexibility, and building strength with greater ease and control.

What to bring: 
Please dress comfortably, but avoid loose clothing and hooded tops. You can go bare foot, or wear socks for the sessions. All jewellery should be removed. Please bring plenty of water.

What to expect:
Expect stretching and gentle conditioning using a soft fabric sling suspended from the ceiling. The class is designed to help you move more freely, release tension, and improve flexibility in a low-impact, supportive environment. 

No aerial or fitness experience is needed - options are offered for all levels. 

Aerial sling stretch is a loop of silk fabric suspended in the air. Using Pilates fundamentals and dance stretching exercises this class uses the sling to assist and extend the exercises with support. Classes are aimed at beginner/mixed level with options given to fit your preference and experience. We will focus on using conditioning and strengthening exercises, building up confidence and increasing ability. Each session will include the option to invert, this is a great way to decompress the spine. We will also have a rest period within the cocoon  to end the class.

About the tutor

Claire trained in dance, Ballet initially, progressing onto Pilates soon after graduating to support her training. She is a qualified teacher who now predominantly teaches adults within the community focusing on encouraging accessible movement for all. Aerial came later in life, but using her dance and pilates training, she finds it a great way to challenge herself in different ways.

All tickets must be booked in advance.

There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses close 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
