Explore the fascinating history of Newbury. 

Each walk lasts approximately 2 hours except for the Battlefield Walk which lasts 2 hours 30 minutes. The walks are led by local history experts providing commentary and answering questions as the walk proceeds. The pace is leisurely and the ground level. 

Walks start at 10.30am at the Corn Exchange in the Market Place except for the Battlefield Walk which starts at the Bowlers Arms in Wash Common (Enborne Street RG14 6TW). There will be a maximum of 15 people on each walk.

Tue 21 Jul: A History of Newbury, Philip Wood 
Tue 28 Jul: Northbrook Street People, Jane Burrell
Tue 4 Aug: Lost Pubs of Newbury (not suitable for children under 12), Philip Wood
Tue 11 Aug: Newbury at War, Jane Burrell
Tue 18 Aug: Northbrook St & Speenhamland, David Peacock
Tue 25 Aug: Tudor Newbury, David Peacock
Tue 1 Sep: First Battle of Newbury, Dave Stubbs

Start time: 10.30am

Duration: 2 hours (please note that the Battlefield Walk will last 2hrs 30mins)
