Accessible performances and screenings coming up in spring 2026

From level access to our building to signed and relaxed performances, we are dedicated to making theatre as accessible for everyone as possible. 

This spring, we will be offering a range of accessible performances. Here is what we have coming up in the theatre this season:

The Monocle

BSL Integrated performance - Tue 10 Feb, 7.30pm

This show features a British Sign Language interpreter as part of the performance, working with the other cast members integrated into the piece so that BSL users can fully immerse themselves in the story. 

The Gruffalo's Child

BSL interpreted – Friday 13 March at 1.30pm

This show ensures that anyone who uses British Sign Language can fully immerse themselves in the laughter, music and adventure. You will be able to follow our skilled BSL interpreter as they share the songs, jokes, and all of the magic that is going on, on stage.

Relaxed – Sunday 15 March at 11am

Designed for anyone who may benefit from a relaxed theatre setting with adjusted sound and lighting levels, a reduced capacity allowing the freedom to move, make noise, or come and go as needed. 

We also have a range of accessible screenings in our cinema. These include:

Relaxed 

Our Relaxed screenings offer a sensory-friendly cinema environment. These screenings are specifically tailored for a neurodivergent audience and those who may benefit from a more relaxed cinema environment. The screenings ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable experience, as the lights are left on at a low level, the volume levels are lower than usual, and you are free to make noise or move around. Subtitled

Our Subtitled screenings feature English language captions throughout the film. These captions provide a transcription of the film's audio, including both dialogue and non-dialogue sounds. This ensures that people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing, or anyone who benefits from reading along can fully enjoy and understand the film. These screenings are also helpful for those who have English as a second language, making the film experience more accessible to everyone. Find out more

Dementia Friendly

Our Dementia Friendly screenings are designed to meet the needs of people living with dementia along with their families and carers.

These sessions offer a supportive and accessible environment with reduced sound levels and low lighting. During the screening, audiences are free to move around (or sing along to any musical numbers they know) to offer a more relaxed cinema environment. There is also a short comfort break in the middle of the film. Find out more
