Access List

If you have specific access requirements, please sign up to our free access list. It'll help us provide you with the best service to meet your needs as well as enabling you to book wheelchair accessible spaces and essential companion tickets if eligible.

The Corn Exchange offers Disabled concession tickets (on performances where concession price is available) and Essential Companion tickets where eligible.

The Corn Exchange offers one essential companion ticket free of charge to someone accompanying an adult patron who would not be able to attend independently without this additional support. Free essential companion tickets are not available to those accompanying a child under 14, where the child would always need to be accompanied under the direct supervision of a responsible adult aged 18 or over. For adults accompanying a child under the age of 14 who is disabled, we are able to offer a concessionary rate ticket where available.

If you, or someone for whom you are booking tickets, qualifies for the Disabled concession rate and/or the Essential Companion ticket, you will need to sign-up to the Access List in order to make bookings at this rate.

Accessible performances

We offer a range of accessible performances:

BSL Interpreted Performances

This show ensures that anyone who uses British Sign Language can fully immerse themselves in the performance. Follow our skilled BSL interpreter throughout the show.

Captioned Performances

Designed for any audience members who would benefit from on-screen text, this show ensures everyone can follow along. Similar to TV and film subtitles, captions will display dialogue and sound effects in real-time.

Relaxed Performances

Designed for anyone who may benefit from a relaxed theatre setting with adjusted sound and lighting levels, a reduced capacity allowing the freedom to move, make noise, or come and go as needed.

Audio Described Performances

Delivered through a headset, this performance offers live commentary providing information on the visual elements of the onstage action as it unfolds. This includes details on the costumes, set changes, facial expressions and visual jokes.

Dementia Friendly Performances

Our Dementia Friendly performance is created to support people living with dementia, along with their families and carers. Taking place in a calm environment, our Auditorium will feature reduced sound levels and low lighting. You are welcome to come and go as needed during the show and our friendly staff will always be nearby to help.
