We offer Box Office Services in person, online and over the phone there is loads of options for how your bookers can buy their tickets and when you combine this with excellent customer service and reporting on ticket sales, we provide real value for money.

Hire the Old Library spaces:

Downstairs

With a capacity of up to 160, the Old Library auditorium has 94 seats in total, 62 seats downstairs on the floor and 32 seats in the balcony for elevated viewing. The floor seats at the front row are also interchangeable, making this space suitable for wheelchair users.

Our downstairs can be used for a multitude of uses including meetings, corporate presentations, recruitment events, training, seminars, meetings, ted talks, opera and also as a networking event space. Additionally, the auditorium is also suitable for small scale performances or as a rehearsal space.

Upstairs

Our upstairs Old Library space has a capacity of 20 people, including staff members.

This versitile space is perfect for various activites for a smaller group of people. The upstairs space has lift access and an accessible toilet. 

Café Bar facilities

As the first space you enter in the Old Library, our Café has a wide range of drinks and food options on offer. If hiring this space, we can provide tea and coffee for all guests.

This space can be used for a range of events, such as networking events, meetings, community lunches and much more.

Please note: We will not always be available but we can consider your request. You can hire both spaces at same time - subject to availability.

Auditorium

With a capacity of up to 410 seats, our auditorium is ideal for performances, awards ceremonies, graduations, training, and summit meetings. We’re able to provide the best in creative atmosphere in a historic location in Newbury town centre just minutes from the train station and bus station.

Balcony Bar

Looking for somewhere to hold a business meeting outside of the office? We’ve got a fantastic Balcony Bar that is available for private hire. We can provide you with an exciting space to have a team briefing, coffee morning or away day.

Cinema

Our intimate cinema shows the best in popular arthouse screenings, but also doubles as a great training room with film projection, or private screening room for special celebrations, and can be combined with food and drinks in the Balcony Bar.
