Support us

Our supporters are at the heart of everything we do

As you are probably aware we are a registered charity (1080567) and we rely in part on donations from our wonderful audiences and supporters.

It costs approximately £7,000 per day to run the Corn Exchange and deliver our programme of work. Every year we need to fundraise at least £200,000 to allow us to continue doing all of the brilliant work we do and maintain our beautiful building.

Over the past year your donations have helped us continue to be an important part of Newbury making a huge difference to the lives of people of all ages by doing things like,

  • Running monthly Memory Cafés for people living with dementia
  • Staging exciting outdoor performances in the heart of Newbury for free
  • Delivering regular drama and dance classes for young people
  • AND bringing you the very best live theatre, comedy, music, dance and films!

All donations help us to carry out our extensive programme of work, fulfilling our mission to offer high quality arts and entertainment to enhance the life of the community, continually providing new and enriching experiences for everyone. We believe passionately that the arts make a difference in peoples’ lives and we’re here to help make sure that’s a reality.

You can make a difference by getting involved and supporting us in a variety of different ways...

We offer a variety of membership schemes which enable you to become a regular supporter of the Corn Exchange. These schemes provide you with priority bookings for live events and film, discounts and other exclusive benefits.

Whenever you buy tickets (either online, over the phone or at the counter) our lovely Front of House team will ask if you would like to make a small donation to the Corn Exchange. These donations make a huge difference to us and the work we are able to do.

You can also make a donation at any time, however large or small!

Once you have remembered the people you care about, leaving a legacy to the Corn Exchange could make a huge difference to our work.

Thank you for your support over the past year!

If you join the Corn Exchange membership scheme or donate when you buy tickets today your money can go further than ever before. From 1 September 2016 for the next three years, the Arts Council England will be matching all new memberships and donations – doubling the impact of your gift. So a donation of £10 means £20 for the Corn Exchange!
