The last year has been the most challenging in our 27 years as an arts organisation. Covid-19 has decimated our income and closed our buildings. As we’re finally able to return to our activities we need your support both now and in the future, to recover from the impact that the pandemic and our closure has had on our organisation.
Can you help us?
In an ordinary year we need to raise £200,000 from fundraising to sustain all of our work. But this has been no ordinary year, and the continuing financial impact of Covid-19 means that we will need to redouble our fundraising efforts to ensure we can continue everything we do.
Support us by becoming a Corn Exchange Companion
We are asking you, and everyone we know, to become a Corn Exchange Companion by making a minimum suggested donation of £5 per month to support our recovery. By committing to a regular donation and joining us as a Companion you will be making a real difference to the work we are able to do, both now and in the future.
You can also make a one off donation to become a Companion here.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Information about other ways to support us can be found below.
Make a Donation
You can make a donation at any time to support our work.
If you would like to make a donation to the Corn Exchange by cheque, CAF cheque or CAF voucher, please make it payable to Corn Exchange (Newbury) Trust. Please send cheques to Development Office, Corn Exchange, Market Place, Newbury RG14 5BQ.
We offer a membership scheme which provides you with priority booking for live events, film, activities in our Learning Centre and The Base, discounts at our Kitchen and Bar and other exclusive benefits.
LEAVE A LEGACY
Once you have remembered the people you care about, leaving a legacy to the Corn Exchange could make a huge difference to our work.
As we are a registered charity, for every £1 you give, we can claim an extra 25p from HMRC, at no additional cost to you. All that you need to do is complete a one-off declaration.
Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows us to reclaim the basic rate of tax you pay as a UK taxpayer. If you are a higher rate tax payer you can also claim additional tax relief.
Once completed, all you need to remember is to let us know of any changes to your tax status, including changes to your name and address.
To make your donation go further, either tick the Gift Aid box when you make a donation online (this is a one off declaration, you will not be prompted to do this when you make subsequent donations online), or complete the declaration form below and return it to the Corn Exchange, Market Place, Newbury RG14 5BD or by hand to Box Office, or call us on 01635 582666 to make a verbal declaration.
The Corn Exchange (Newbury) Trust is a registered charity 1080567.
We are excited to share our new Impact Report, which sets out the positive difference the Corn Exchange has made to the lives of our community through the arts in 2019/20.
Your donations have made a huge difference in helping us to do all the work we do, and we hope you enjoy reading about the impact this has had.
In this challenging time we have launched our Save Your Corn Exchange: Fund the Future campaign to raise £100,000 to help protect our future and ensure we can carry on making a positive impact for years to come.
Find out what a difference your donations made last year by downloading the Impact Report 2019-20 below.
