Saiorse Ronan stars in this richly engaging adaptation of Colm Tóibín's 1950s-set bestseller about a young Irish woman who leaves her small town behind for a new life in New York. 

Settling into her surroundings, Eilis (Ronan) meets her sweetheart in the unassuming Italian-American Tony (Emory Cohen). But when a tragedy takes her back to Ireland, she finds it hard to resist the call of home... and the attentions of another perfect suitor (Domhnall Gleeson). With scene-stealing landlady Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent's kindly priest capping off the superb cast, this romantic drama simultaneously manages to lift, break and touch the heart.
