A young boy with blonde hair and a dirty face

Hungary, 1957, the country is recovering from an uprising, with uncertainty all around.

A young Jewish boy, raised by his mother with idealized tales of his dead father, has his world turned upside down when a brutish man appears, claiming to be his true parent.

As he travels with the man, determined to find the truth, secrets of his other family members are revealed.
