A man and woman in period dress sitting on a lawn

Set in 18th century England during pox outbreak and Jacobite uprising, Sir Chauncey and Lady Savage blindly pursue better life.

Their pursuit is filled with ironic decadence and bloodshed. A darkly satirical play on class and power. With Claire Foy and Richard E. Grant leading, its sharp social satire and period opulence make it a potentially worthwhile watch for fans of witty, stylised historical satire.

The screenings on Friday 5 and Thursday 11 June will be followed by a Q&A with producer Oliver Roskill:

Oliver is a BAFTA-winning producer whose work spans award-winning independent films, prestige television, and innovative media ventures. Under his previous venture, Wigwam Films, he produced the BAFTA-winning Under the Shadow, Netflix’s iBoy, and the Sundance standout An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn, and served as Executive Producer on the SXSW Audience Award-winner Before I Disappear and HBO’s TV series, Run. In 2019, Oliver founded Record Player Films, a production company dedicated to bold, genre-driven storytelling. Under the banner he produced Tuesday for A24, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and the dark satire Savage House with Richard E. Grant and Claire Foy for Paramount.

He is currently producing his debut written feature, Embassy, in collaboration with AGBO, alongside a mature slate of feature film projects and fresh, gripping TV concepts. Oliver began writing in 2021, with a focus on muscular, grounded action films, drawing not just on his experience as a producer but also on close ties with former military, intelligence, and law enforcement.  Beyond film and television, he co-founded The Hacking Games, a multimedia venture building a generation of ethical hackers through documentaries, competition formats, and interactive storytelling
