Few writers capture both the sweep of history and the pulse of suspense like Robert Harris.

From ancient Rome to modern corridors of power, his bestselling novels have gripped millions and inspired such acclaimed adaptations as Fatherland, The Ghost, and most recently Conclave.

In the wake of Conclave’s staggering artistic and critical success, we are thrilled to announce that Robert Harris will be joining us live on stage, for our Festival of Words event, to offer a rare glimpse into his writing process and the art of turning tension into drama.

Expect a conversation filled with behind-the-scenes insight, and seize this rare opportunity to not only put your own questions to the master himself, but to also engage in a special post-conversation signing - an unmissable evening with one of Britain’s most compelling storytellers.

Talking to Robert Harris will be film historian and writer, Adam Roche, the creator of The Secret History Of Hollywood, and co-host and creator of The Labours Of Hercule.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Old Library campaign, find out more here.

This event is in partnership with Hungerford Bookshop.

Start time: 7.30pm
