Join us for an evening with well-known auctioneer Thomas Forrester, BBC Presenter and Director of Special Auction Services at a one-off benefit event for the Old Library campaign.

Thomas Forrester will chat about his career as an auctioneer and his time being on the TV with Bargain Hunt starting back at the beginning with some amusing tales of his foray into antiques. He will lend an insight into the antiques market and what is selling and what is not, including stories of interesting items he has sold and things that didn’t!

This is also your chance to bring along a small antique or collectable and enter the free draw to have your item valued on stage by Thomas. Audience members who have brought items will be drawn at random to go on stage and tell the audience what their item is and why they bought it, and Thomas will give a valuation.

All proceeds will go towards the reopening the historic Old Library in Newbury as a permanent home for our creative participation work.
