Crochet in a Day: Beginner Basics

Perfect for absolute beginners, this one-day workshop gives you all the essentials to start your crochet journey with confidence.
In this relaxed and friendly session, you’ll learn the foundations of crochet – from how to hold your hook to creating your first stitches – while working on a simple project to take home.
You’ll choose from a cosy headband or scarf pattern, with step-by-step guidance throughout.
By the end of the day, you’ll:
• Understand how to start and finish a crochet project
• Learn key foundation stitches and how to read a beginner-friendly pattern
• Leave with a handmade accessory and the skills to continue at home
Taught by Naomi Ticehurst, founder of Never Without Wool, this course is ideal for anyone who’s curious about crochet and wants to get started in a supportive, hands-on environment. Naomi has been crocheting and knitting since childhood and now shares her passion for woolly makes through workshops and handmade accessories.

What to bring (if not selecting materials included):
• Size 5 crochet hook
• 100g of wool suitable for size 5 hook
• Wool/tapestry needle
All tickets must be booked in advance
There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses close 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
