Join us in exploring Shodō, the art of Japanese calligraphy with Nao Fukumoto, deeply rooted in the meditative traditions of Za Zen Buddhism.
In this session, we will focus on writing words inspired by the theme of Spring, embracing the season’s renewal and growth.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn to use traditional Washi paper and a calligraphy brush, honing control and concentration. This practice will guide you towards achieving Mushin - a state of balance and natural harmony of the mind.
No prior experience is necessary - beginners are welcome!
Location: The Lookout Studio, The Base
Duration: 2pm - 4pm
All materials are provided, including a calligraphy brush pen that you can take home at the end of the class.
All tickets must be booked in advance
There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses close 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
