Ian Smith

Ian Smith is a multi-award winning comedian, actor and writer as heard on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Now Show, Just A Minute and his own comedy-documentary Girl Stuck in Basketball Hoop - as well as being a regular guest on The Bugle. He is the co-host of the Northern News podcast, alongside Amy Gledhill - which hit the top 20 in the Apple comedy podcast charts after just two weeks and featured in The Guardian’s 'best podcasts of 2023 so far'. Ian’s 2023 Edinburgh Fringe show Crushing was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, shortlisted for the (ISH) Edinburgh Comedy Award and runner-up in Next Up's Biggest Award in Comedy. His sold-out run is transferring to Soho Theatre, followed by a UK tour in 2024. Ian’s previous Fringe shows have received critical acclaim, an Amused Moose Comedy Award, ThreeWeeks Editors’ Award and have seen him invited to New Zealand Comedy Festival and to perform as part of Best of the Edinburgh Fest at Adelaide and Melbourne Comedy Festivals.

Dave Chawner

Dave is a number one best-selling author, award-winning stand up, presenter & mental health campaigner. Dave's first Edinburgh show, Normally Abnormal, sensitively used humour to explore his anorexic past. The show received critical acclaim, had sell-out shows and went on UK tour. Since then Dave has gone on to do shows about adult circumcision, veganism, philosophy and mental health. Most recently, he won Pegasus' Comedy Awards 'Ongoing Comedian Of The Year' at The Edinburgh Fringe.

Horatio Gould

Horatio Gould is a British comedian, writer and filmmaker who found huge success over lockdown with his online sketches garnering over 70 million views. Some of his most well received work online includes the medieval parody of modern male podcasts, or his hugely viral series on every TV show in the 2000s. His stand up career has seen him appear on Comedy Central Live (Comedy Central) and his debut show Sweet Prince sold it’s entire run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2023, including extra shows. He took the show on a 20 date UK tour and released the show as a special. Horatio has also been tour support for Frankie Boyle’s latest tour Lap of Shame, and directed two of Seann Walsh’s comedy specials (Kiss and Dead). He is also the co-creator of smash hit web-series ‘Fin vs The Internet’.

Eleanor Tiernan (compere)

Eleanor Tiernan is an Irish comedian well-known among Irish audiences for her live stand up performances and her work in TV, theatre and on radio. She went on to create the innovative National Therapy Project in the same festival in 2014 for which she was nominated for the First Fortnight award. She has completed six runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
