Creative Art Journaling

Children and Young People – ages 11-18

Generously supported by the Lily and Marcus Sieff Charitable Trust.

These 6-week courses offer children and young adults (ages 11 - 18) a visual safe place to acquire skills to express themselves and help them through challenging times. Led by a professional artist, Creative Art Journaling connects with young people’s mental health and provides a creative well-being toolkit to help them explore, articulate and manage their emotions. Using mixed media, mindfulness and creative techniques, these private journals become a safe place for young people to unload, help self-regulation and build resilience. The course is suitable for beginners and those who enjoy visual art. No particular previous art experience is needed.

Creative Art Journaling can be run as a weekly 1-hour session across 6 weeks (during one half term) or as an intensive course of 1 hour each day for 4 days. Sessions can be scheduled in school hours or as after school provision. Sessions work best with a group of between 5 and 10 students, but there is flexibility with these numbers.

CPD teacher training is also available.

Fee: Free, thanks to the support of the Lily and Marcus Sieff Charitable Trust
