A Big Thank You to the Berkshire Community Foundation

We would like to say a big thank you to the Berkshire Community Foundation for its generous donation of £2,500 from it's Vital for Berkshire Fund.

The Corn Exchange Newbury is delighted to announce a generous donation from the Berkshire Community Foundation’s Vital for Berkshire Fund. This funding will be used to deliver three Creative Arts on Prescription courses over the summer under our Links to Thrive Programme.

Creative Arts on Prescription is a socially prescriptible activity, targeting vulnerable and in-need community members, through self- or GP-referral, who have been impacted by COVID-19 and whose mental health has suffered as a result. The programme works with social prescribers across all ages and geographical locations in West Berkshire to offer wellbeing-enhancing activities which includes Singing for Recovery, Art for Wellbeing, and Creative Art Journaling. All courses will provide a means of gentle skills building and space for reflection, raising self-esteem and encouraging the next steps of non-clinical intervention.
