An Evening of Classic Reggae brings smooth rhythms to reggae lovers in Newbury

A compilation of different musicians on a reggae style coloured background

On Friday 13 September, Don’t Stop the Beat Productions will present An Evening of Classic Reggae: Paying Tribute at the Corn Exchange.

This show is a spectacular tribute to the legends of reggae, Sir John Holt and Dennis Brown. Known for their previous sell-out success at the Corn Exchange with An Evening of Marvin Gaye, this production promises to be yet another unforgettable night of incredible music and storytelling. Bringing together a powerhouse ensemble of some of the world's most accomplished reggae musicians, this event will feature the exceptional talents of London’s own Wayne Hernandez and Delroy Pinnock.

These two vocal powerhouses will breathe new life into the timeless hits of Holt and Brown, delivering soul-stirring renditions of classics such as Help Me Make It Through The Night, Tide Is High, Money In My Pocket, I'd Love You To Want Me, Morning Of My Life, Love And Hate and many more. Audiences can expect an evening rich with the smooth rhythms and heartfelt melodies that have made these artists icons of the genre.

Whether a lifelong reggae fan or new to the genre, this old-school reggae night is set to be a memorable journey for audience members through some of the most beloved songs in reggae history.

An Evening of Classic Reggae: Paying Tribute will be at the Corn Exchange Newbury on Friday 13 September at 7.45pm. Tickets £30.25. To book tickets or for more information please click here or call 01635 522733.
