Changes to booking fees

From Thursday 27 October we will be changing our booking fees.

Like many venues, we charge a booking fee to cover the administrative costs of running our Box Office and booking system. We have always tried to keep this fee low and we have not increased it in 7 years. Along with all industries we are experiencing increased costs and have had to take the decision to increase our booking fees. From Thursday 27 October 2022 these will increase by 25p to £1.25 per ticket for live events and live broadcasts (including encore screenings). For films this will increase by 10p to 75p per ticket.

In order to help make sure our pricing is as transparent as possible, this fee is now included in the advertised price of all tickets, whether they are booked online, over the phone or in person at the Box Office. Our Companions remain exempt from the booking fee and, provided you are logged in to your account, this will be automatically deducted at the checkout.

Booking fees for schools and organised group bookings will be capped at £7.50 per transaction.

In line with our current policy, and to keep our engagement programme as accessible as possible, no booking fees will be charged for our workshops and courses programme.

For exhibitions at The Base, the booking fee will increase by 10p to 75p per ticket for exhibitions in the spring 2023 season onwards.
