We are excited to announce another week of digital activities to keep you entertained at home, including our regular Rhyme and Shine and Singing for Wellbeing sessions, as well as the next in our informal Zoom conversations with young people for our new online project, Unlocked and Unbolted. Read below to find out more!
Workshops w/c 13 Jul
Monday 13 July
We'll be sharing our last Learning Challenge of the school year as well as our Creative Challenge of the week. In the Learning Challenge we will be asking you to make an official record of your lockdown experience whilst in the Creative Challenge we would like you to design a graphic logo for your home town, village or city.
Tuesday 14 July
Rhyme and Shine - interactive session via Zoom at 10.15am
Rhyme and Shine is a popular singing session that typically takes place in our Learning Centre for parents/carers and babies aged 2 and under. Becci will be streaming a session which you can enjoy in the comfort of your home, via the online app Zoom. Places need to be booked in advance by 12pm the day before the session date.
Unlocked and Unbolted – Imagine - interactive session via Zoom at 4pm (ages 14 – 17) and 6pm (ages 18 – 21)
Last week we kicked off our new online project Unlocked and Unbolted, which asks young people aged 14 - 21 to share their voices, experiences and thoughts from the past few months. These conversations are then going to become the inspiration for a new piece of theatre to be performed by a group of young people later in the year.
In our Tuesday Zoom discussions Director Bryn Holding will guide a conversation about our imaginings of the future and how we might like to see the new normal/world - what good could come out of our situations?
Wednesday 15 July
Singing for Wellbeing Online - interactive session via Zoom at 2pm
Join Becci for 30 minutes of Singing for Wellbeing every Wednesday, with the chance to have fun singing along to classic songs from a range of genres. Places need to be booked in advance by midnight the day before the session date.
Infant Youth Theatre - interactive session via Zoom at 4pm
Live online session to continue support for participants of Corn Exchange Youth Theatre.
Armchair Reviewers Club - Response to last week's screening
For last week's session of the Armchair Reviewers Club, we sat down to watch The Old Vic’s Mood Music, a timely play which takes a look behind the powerful and glamorous veneer of the music industry. Here we share the round up of your thoughts.

Live online session to continue support for participants of Corn Exchange Youth Theatre.
Unlocked and Unbolted - Shape - interactive session via Zoom at 4pm (for ages 14 - 17) and 6pm (for ages 18 - 21)
Our Thursday Zoom discussions for Unlocked and Unbolted will give you the chance to shape the material gathered and to have a voice in how this new piece of work is staged. These Zoom sessions will include 20 minutes for a Q&A discussion about theatre making and the theatre industry as a whole.
Armchair Reviewers Club - Watch the Play
Join us as we watch another theatre performance in the comfort of our homes. For this week's Armchair Reviewers Club, we will be watching Southwark Playhouse's Wasted, a musical based on the Brontë family. The performance is available to watch here. We'd love you to submit your thoughts, either on social media or by emailing [email protected] by Monday 20 July and we'll deliver the verdict on Wednesday 22 July.

Our Early Years and Education Officer will be recording 10 minutes of songs, rhymes and games, which will be uploaded onto our website for you to share with your under-5s.
