Market Street closure 7 - 13 August 2023

As a result of road resurfacing, Market Street, Newbury, will be closed from the Monday 7 August to Sunday 13 August 2023.

Please be aware of this closure if you are planning to attend our cinema between Tuesday 6 and Sunday 13 August, Music on the Terrace on Saturday 12 August or if you are parking in a town centre car park to walk to CODE on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 August.

The closure will be between the access road to West Berkshire Council’s offices and its junction with Mayors Lane.

The clockwise diversion is via Cheap Street, Bear Lane, southbound on the A339, St John’s Road, Newtown Road and Bartholomew Street.

The anti-clockwise diversion is via Bartholomew Street, Newtown Road, St John’s Road, northbound on the A339 and Cheap Street.

The diversion will be signed throughout and gatemen will be on site to facilitate access to Kennet Centre and residential areas.
