Prince Tony has been nominated for a Great British Pantomime award!

The Great British Pantomime Awards have announced this year’s nominations, which recognise the wealth of talent creating pantomimes across the country. Excitingly, Ben Barrow has been nominated as Best Supporting Role (Male) for playing Prince Tony in last year's #NewburyPanto, Sleeping Beauty.
Audiences will remember that Ben started the show in the stalls, appearing to be a member of the public, and then was seemingly picked out at random and joined the cast on stage. After a hilarious slosh scene ‘gone wrong’, which resulted in Ben being covered in gunge, Ben surprised audiences by becoming the show’s secret prince.
Corn Exchange Director, Katy Griffiths, says ’We are thrilled for Ben Barrow and his nomination and so pleased that the judges enjoyed our secret prince’s performance as much as we did. It is with huge thanks to our writers and directors Plested and Brown for bringing Newbury such a refreshing take on traditional pantomime and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this year.’
Awards will be announced on Tuesday 28 April and we hope you will join us in wishing Ben the best of luck!
