Market Street closure during 9 - 16 October 2023

As a result of Thames Water installing a new service connection, Market Street, Newbury will be closed from Monday 9 October and Monday 16 October 2023

Please be aware of this closure if you are planning to attend Corn Exchange Newbury and the Learning Centre between Monday 9 October and Monday 16 October.

The closure will be along the northbound one-way section from Market Street up to Mansion House Street.

Alternative routes for all vehicles affected will be via Market Street, Cheap Street, Bear Lane and the A339. Road users should be aware that the Sainsbury’s and Robin Hood roundabouts will be busier than usual and may wish to consider walking or cycling instead for short journeys across town.
