Spooky Season at the Corn Exchange!

We're hosting a fang-tastic range of events to keep you entertained this Halloween, from cult classics in the cinema, to creepy creative crafts!

In our cinema there are terrifying treats for all ages to get you in the Halloween spirit from Saturday 22 October until Tuesday 1 November. Young film fans and their families can enjoy Disney’s popular Coco (2017), where young Miguel learns about his great-great grandfather’s singing career in the Land of the Dead. Get in the spooky spirit and enjoy a variety of cult classics; Hocus Pocus (1993) where a curious boy awakens a trio of diabolical witches who died in the 17th century, and Labyrinth, where David Bowie stars as the now infamous Goblin King.

Alongside these classic screenings, we are hosting a special late-night screening of The Lost Boys (1987) in our Auditorium on Saturday 29 October, at 10:30pm! We are also offering a special pre-screening noodle box menu for you to sink your teeth into. Check out the menu and pre-order a delicious late night bite here.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, experience Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on the big screen, where mysterious whispers have a petrifying effect on the students of Hogwarts. Fancy dress is optional but strongly encouraged throughout this week...

We are excited to be a part of Visit Newbury's Festival of Frights this October, and everyone can get involved! On the haunted Ghost Town Family Trail, stop by for some free and freaky Halloween-themed arts and crafts activities, from Wednesday 26 October until Saturday 29 October. Adults can get creative at the Pumpkin Art for Adults in our Café Bar on Friday 28 October as a part of the Adult’s Psycho Path Pub Crawl. Paint a pumpkin with artist Gemma Kirby, along with a drink from the bar*!

Over at The Base, Greenham, children aged 6 – 11 can let their imaginations run wild and create an original spooky t-shirt of their own at the Children’s Screenprint a Halloween T-Shirt workshop, on Saturday 29 October. And over at 101 Outdoor Arts on Greenham Business Park, Halloween lovers of all ages can carve and decorate pumpkins in the Pumpkin Carving Workshop on Sunday 30 October, ready for the 31st!
