The Base is reopening!

We are thrilled to announce our programme for the year as we work towards our planned reopening on Monday 17 May* with the Natural History Museum's Wildlife Photographer of the Year 56 exhibition. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon!

The world-renowned exhibition, on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, comes to The Base, featuring exceptional images which capture fascinating animal behaviour, spectacular species and the breathtaking diversity of the natural world.

As it is a relatively short run, we are opening the Gallery 7 days a week for the duration of the exhibition, hopefully giving you ample opportunity to enjoy this incredible show.

*Subject to government restrictions

Purchase a Base Pass from just £20 and enjoy 12 months unlimited access to the Gallery as well as 10% off at Honesty owned outlets*.

EXHIBITIONS COMING LATER THIS YEAR

Tickets will go on sale for the following exhibitions to Corn Exchange Members on Thursday 6 May and be available for general sale on Monday 10 May.

Game Plan: Board Games Rediscovered | 25 June - 5 September

Kicking off a summer of fun with a fantastic exhibition from the V&A Museum of Childhood, we invite you to celebrate the joy, excitement and occasional frustration of playing board games. Game Plan: Board Games Rediscovered includes some of the most iconic, enthralling and visually striking games from the V&A’s outstanding national collection of board games.

Open Studios INSIGHT 2021 | 18 September - 10 October

We welcome back West Berkshire North Hampshire Open Studios to The Base this September where over 100 artists will be showcasing, and selling, their work. Artists will also be opening their studios so this is your opportunity to decide who to pay a visit, so that you can learn more about their process and view more of their work. A huge celebration of local talent! Visit their website here

Hockney and Hollywood | 22 October - 28 November

A major photo montage by Britain's most famous living artist, David Hockney, comes to The Base. Featuring an extraordinary life sized nude photographic study commissioned by his friend, the Hollywood film director Nicolas Roeg. Roeg documented Hockney as he prepared the scene; these photos provide a unique and intimate never before seen 'behind the scenes' look at a genius at work.

Before your visit
