We can offer a variety of arts-based packages for anyone aged 4 years and up!*

• Saturday and Sunday mornings/afternoons

Dance Party

Love to dance? Then why not have a dance party!
Learn a dance routine to one of your favourite songs on the Corn Exchange Stage!
All parties will be led by an experienced dance practitioner where you will be taught some choreography and even create some of your own (if you wish). 
 

Drama Party 

Fun theatrical parties!
Play some drama games, dress-up and perform on the Corn Exchange stage to your fellow partygoers.
All parties will be led by an experienced drama practitioner. 
 

Craft Party

Do you have a budding artist who likes to get crafty? Then our crafty party could be for you!
Create and craft with friends, take your creations home and dress for mess!
Craft parties will be held in the Balcony Bar and led by an experienced practitioner. All materials included.
 

Cinema Party

Watch a film in our 40-seat cinema with friends!
Hire the cinema for a private viewing to watch your favourite film. We have lots of films to choose from, please get in touch to find out more.

*Let us know your party’s age group so we can adapt the session to best suit your child, teenager or adult party group.

Costs and what you get (50% deposit to be paid when booking confirmed):

Dance or Drama Party – Maximum 20 people

• £200 standard hire (for dance or drama session only)
• 45 mins dance or drama session on the Corn Exchange stage
• 45 mins for food in the Balcony Bar (optional)

Craft Party – Maximum 12 people

• £170 standard hire (for craft session only)
• 45 mins craft session in the Balcony Bar
• 45 mins for food in the Balcony Bar (optional)

Cinema Party 

The cinema party package works as follows. We hold a Sunday morning screening at 10.30am to accommodate parties.

We charge £110 plus VAT to have the screen exclusively. 

You would then be required to buy tickets for the screening at a cost of £9.80 per full price adult ticket and £7.55 for under 19's. We require a minimum spend of £160 on tickets, If you don't meet the minimum charge, we would invoice the difference. The maximum capacity of the cinema is 40 but please bear in mind that we require at least 2 full price paying adults to be present during the party.

If you choose a film that is screening in the same week as your party (cinema week runs from Friday - Thursday) there would be no additional charge. If you wanted to choose a film that was not currently being screened, there would be an additional distributer fee of around £180 plus VAT (film depending).

After the film and included in the fee is the use our balcony bar (subject to availability) for a 45 minute party lunch. Please note that any food consumed within the Corn Exchange must have been provided by our in-house catering team. 

We can accommodate private hires outside of this Sunday morning screening; however, the hire charges will vary according to the day and time. Please email hires@cornexchangenew.co.uk to find out more about alternative cinema hire fees. 

Optional extras:

• £9 per head for lunch bag (to include sandwich, home-baked cookie, crisps and a fruit bar). We will provide jugs of squash and water.
• £7 per head for party bag (to include activity sheet, colouring pencils, a Mr Men book, sweets).
• Let us know if you'd like us to provide a birthday cake, cost on request.
