Exploring a Text

This workshop provides a practical introduction to understanding and analysing a text.

This workshop is suitable for Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6

This workshop consists of games and exercises that give an overview of narrative and characters to assist your students in gaining understanding of a text. It then moves on to begin physicalizing the language in that text, to help your students to begin to be able to talk about language in an analytical way. The session will focus on form, structure, characters and use of language. The text could be a play, poetry, prose or a novel.
