Led by Claire of Tone & Poise, this ballet class is designed for adults looking to rediscover their love of ballet or those wanting to try ballet for the first time.
The focus of the sessions will be on coordination and improving posture through use of the core and developing awareness of the body in space. The class will use ballet steps and vocabulary to encourage technique, musicality and artistry. All ages and abilities are welcome, as different options for each exercise will be offered so that everyone can get what they want from the class.
What to bring: Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Ballet shoes are optional, although socks or bare feet are also suitable. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the class.
What to expect: Expect a relaxed and encouraging class that develops ballet technique through classical steps, musicality and artistry. Exercises can be adapted to suit different abilities, making the class suitable for complete beginners, those returning after a break, and anyone wishing to improve their movement and confidence.
Benefits: This class helps improve posture, coordination, balance, core strength and flexibility, while developing greater body awareness, musicality and graceful movement.

Session date: Fridays, 18 Sep - 23 Oct (6 week course) & 6 Nov - 4 Dec (5 week course)
Duration: 1.30pm - 2.30pm
All tickets must be booked in advance.
There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for this course closes 12 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
