Our Contemporary Dance classes are designed for young dancers aged 14 - 18 who want to develop their technique, confidence and creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Led by local dancer Katie Chamberlain you'll explore dynamic movement, floorwork, improvisation and choreography while building strength, flexibility and performance skills.
Whether you're looking to build on existing dance experience or challenge yourself in a new style, this class will offer a fun environment to do just that.
What to bring:Â
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in, and have socks to dance in. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the class.
What to expect:Â
Throughout the course you will strengthen your technique, explore floorwork and travelling sequences. You will develop creativity through improvisation and choreographic tasks. Each term there will be a new piece of choreography to learn.

Dancers will build strength, flexibility and coordination, improve technique and develop confidence and self-expression. They will also have the chance to choreograph, develop their musicality and hone their performance skills. All in a positive, fun and creative environment!

All tickets must be booked in advance.
There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses close 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
