Join us for this gentle paced yoga course led by Annie Knights, where you'll learn the foundational style of yoga.Â
In each class you will hold individual postures (asanas) and slowly move from posture to posture whilst focussing on your breath.
Each session will offer a balance of movement and stillness, helping you to build strength and flexibility through postures whilst improving balance and releasing tension from your day.
No previous yoga experience is needed. You’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace, with variations offered to help make the practice accessible for all.
What to bring:
Please dress comfortably, bring plenty of water, and bring a yoga mat (some mats available at the Old Library).
What to expect:
You’ll explore Hatha Yoga postures to gently build strength, flexibility and balance, connect with your breath to encourage calm and focus, move with greater awareness, release tension through mindful movement and guided relaxation, and build confidence as you become more familiar with the postures and techniques.
