Access performances at our Panto

A cartoon woman with a bow and arrow in hand stands next to a man with a green outfit, his hands on his hips and a robin on his shoulder. Behind them is a green forest and sparkling lights. The title Robin Hood and Maid Marian sits to the left.

The countdown is on for the start of this year's #NewburyPanto

From level access to our building to signed and audio-described performances, we are dedicated to making the panto magic accessible for everyone. We offer a range of accessible performances:

BSL Interpreted Performance

This show ensures that anyone who uses British Sign Language can fully immerse themselves in the laughter, music and adventure. Follow our skilled BSL interpreter as they share the songs, jokes, and all of the magic.

Fri 12 Dec, 1.30pm

Captioned Performance

Designed for any audience members who would benefit from on-screen text, this show ensures everyone can follow along. Similar to TV and film subtitles, captions will display dialogue and sound effects in real-time.

Fri 19 Dec, 1.30pm

Relaxed Performance

Designed for anyone who may benefit from a relaxed theatre setting with adjusted sound and lighting levels, a reduced capacity allowing the freedom to move, make noise, or come and go as needed.

Fri 12 & 19 Dec, 1.30pm & Tue 30 Dec, 5pm

Audio Described

Delivered through a headset, this performance offers live commentary providing information on the visual elements of the onstage action as it unfolds. This includes details on the costumes, set changes, facial expressions and visual jokes.

Tue 30 Dec, 5pm

Dementia Friendly Performance

Our Dementia Friendly performance is created to support people living with dementia, along with their families and carers. Taking place in a calm environment, our Auditorium will feature reduced sound levels and low lighting. You are welcome to come and go as needed during the show and our friendly staff will always be nearby to help.

Fri 2 Jan, 1.30pm
