Bringing the community together through music, games, film, and more, don't miss our exciting line-up of events as part of our Seasonal Socials programme!

This summer, whether you're looking to showcase your talents, test your trivia skills, or simply connect with like-minded individuals, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Kicking things off, our Open Mic Night (4 May, 1 Jun, 6 Jun & 3 Aug) invites local people to perform in our Balcony Bar. With a huge range of performances from live music to spoken word and even close-up magic, each evening promises a new unforgettable experience. For those who love a challenge, the popular Theatre, Film & TV Quiz (11 Apr, 11 Jun & 26 Jul) returns throughout the summer. Gather your team to test your pop culture knowledge and compete for the title of quiz masters. Meanwhile, film enthusiasts can take part in Film Club (16 Apr, 28 May, 18 Jun, 16 Jul & 13 Aug), an opportunity to watch a screening in our 40-seat cinema and then take part in (or listen to) a relaxed discussion over drinks in the Balcony Bar.

Gaming lovers of all kinds will find activities to take part in at the Corn Exchange this summer. Pokémon Club, held on the third Saturday of each month, is the perfect place for trainers of all levels to trade and battle. Fans of tabletop gaming adventures can immerse themselves in a Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (18 May, 15 Jun, 20 Jul & 17 Aug), where players can embark on thrilling quests. We will also be hosting a Tabletop Gaming Event (Sun 20 Jul), bringing together exhibitors who will showcase a diverse range of board games, role-playing experiences and miniatures. For a regular gaming experience with music and a relaxed environment, bring along your favourite vinyl and unwind with Rock & Roll (every Sunday), where music and board games create the perfect afternoon atmosphere.

Lovers of literature can come together for Book Club (13 Apr, 8 Jun, 13 Jul & 10 Aug), where readers gather to discuss the latest novel in a welcoming environment. This Easter holiday, families looking for creative fun can join artist Gemma Kirby in the Balcony Bar for the Make Your Own Easter Bonnet (17 Apr) workshop, a hands-on session where little ones can let their imaginations run wild, using upcycled materials to create a bright bonnet.

As summer gets into full swing, the sounds of Music on the Terrace (26 Jul, 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 Aug) will fill the air, featuring performances by talented local artists in our outdoor seating area. Whether you're looking to relax with a drink or enjoy live music in the evening sun, this is the perfect way to celebrate the season.
